Beyond Personal Training

With today's hectic lifestyles, it's easy to forget about the one thing we truly own: our bodies and its health.

My job as a personal fitness trainer is to assess your current situation and create a regimen DESIGNED FOR YOUR SUCCESS. I will work with you to develop more than just an exercise program; we will rebuild your current lifestyle together and allow your body's NATURAL STRENGTH AND HEALTH to finally express itself!

What to expect

Give me just four months, and people will hardly recognize you. After a year, you'll hardly recognize yourself.

Through hard work and effective coaching, you will learn the time-tested techniques of life-long physical conditioning. Not fads that amuse the casual tourist, nor schemes which rob perpetual seekers' savings. You will learn all the honest ways of health and fitness I know between anecdote and science.

Moreover, you will adopt the mindset of health and success, of strength and speed and endurance extended over time and circumstances. You will BECOME A WINNER, and able to sculpt your own body and take charge of all other aspects of your life. For in learning physical discipline you will also inevitably learn how to shape your thoughts and control your mind, which is the foundation of self-confidence and success!

Special needs

I am AARP-listed to provide proactive fitness training for seniors and retired persons. My focus is on injury-prevention and age-related quality-of-life issues as affected by physical fitness. If you are fifty or over, you need a personal trainer to carefully monitor your efforts and assure best practices. I will be there to guide your progress and teach you to understand the different characteristics of your own changing body.

The same is true for kids, who also have their own unique set of physical realities affecting any exercise prescribed. Young children will benefit from calisthenics and some light weights, depending on circumstances; they will respond most enthusiastically to games and peer group settings. If you have children, it would be particularly beneficial to include them in a family-oriented fitness program that involves parents and children and siblings and friends motivating one another. (And remember, group rates are available!) Older teenagers need especially close guidance because they are enthusiastic but lack experience, and so will benefit greatly from demonstrations of proper training techniques, such that youthful fearlessness does not become life-long regret!

I also work with athletes who have specific performance benchmarks as goals. If you're already athletic, or would like to get back into competitive shape, I will design for you a complete road map to excellence and achievement. Depending on your sport and the amount of time we have to work with, I will supervise your workouts and create a nutritional plan that emphasizes real-world performance and metabolic efficiency.
